Attackers Scan for Vulnerable VMware Servers
Security researchers are warning users about threat actors scanning the internet for exposed VMware vCenter servers which is vulnerable to a remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability impacting all vCenter deployments. VMware has released security updates for this vulnerability tracked as CVE-2021-21985.
Avaddon Ransomware Shuts Down
The threat actors behind Avaddon ransomware have shut down its operations and have released the description keys for its victims. The decryption keys were shared with BleepingComputer and were confirmed as legitimate.
