Maze Ransomware is Shutting Down its Operations
The group behind Maze ransomware is shutting down its operations after becoming prominent in performing ransomware attacks. The maze ransomware operations began in May 2019 and became more active in November.
Adware Found in 21 Android Apps
According to a report from the Czech antivirus maker Avast, 15 of 21 Android applications found in the Google Play Store contained a type of malware known as HiddenAds. The apps were downloaded more than seven million times which was then reported to Google and has been removed.
New T-RAT Malware Control Through SmartPhone
CyberSecurity Researchers have discovered a new remote access trojan (RAT) known by the name of T-RAT which is being advertised on Russian-speaking underground hacking forums. The malware is available for 45 dollars and it has the ability to control infected systems through a Telegram channel by using text based commands and command buttons provided by the RAT.
